Located on the west coast of Canada on Vancouver Island and founded in 2012 by Darren Delorme, Render West (formerly West Island Media) has consistently been on the cutting edge of innovative technology for PC’s and mobile devices.

Challenge

Render West, formally known as West Island Media Inc. wanted to re-brand and change its name to a simpler version “Render West”. This was also an opportunity to redefine the brand mark that inscribed the functional value of the brand and could easily be recognized.

Goal

The goal was to create a brand mark that that is simple and yet displays the functional and emotional value of the business.

Approach

Since Render West is a 3d & 2d consultancy service for architects, construction firms, engineers mainly, the approach was to introduce a design that reflects ‘proportion, geometry, completeness and diversity’.

Result

The resulting design carried all the value systems the business wanted to portray. The composed design was a 3d illusion composed in a 2d style. The mark inspired by ‘impossible geometry’ represented the business functions with the business initial R and D hidden in the design are all inclosed in a single mark.
